Hi there. A few weeks ago, I had a sudden urge to rekindle my passion in a hobby I left behind many years ago. Photography.
Back in the nineties, I had a Canon EOS 888 and took some fantastic photos with it. I'm not a pro. More like a casual hobbyist. But I had a great time taking some of those photos.
You can see some of those images in my blog, Stolen Moments. Stolen Moments just has a sampling of photos taken with various cameras. My entire collection, I plan to put up at Picasa - once I've uploaded them all. Of course, I first have to scan the ones I took with the 888.
Anyway, since I'm revisiting this hobby, I thought I'd share it with anyone who wants to enjoy it with me. I figure there are two aspects to it. The first is the appreciation of the images, which you can find in my Stolen Moments blog, as well as Picasa. The second, is the technical side of it. The equipment, tricks, and knowledge in general that photographers use to create their works of art. This blog focuses on the latter aspect.
Granted that I'm no expert photographer, the approach I intend to take in sharing the knowledge will be one of a novice. Hence the title of my blog, My First dSLR. So as I acquire new equipment, skills and techniques, I will share them here.
Do visit often to read my entries, follow my growth, as well as leave comments and advice.
Cheers!
